3.  A hotel room in Cabo San Lucas costs $117for two people and $17for each additional person. The sales tax for hotel rooms is8%. There are five people in the Smith family. They stayed at the hotel for seven days. How much is their hotel bill?


4.  Kaitlyn made a rock garden for her father. She used1.9pounds of pebbles,0.6pounds of planting medium, and1.34pounds of decorative rocks in her garden. The pebbles cost$1.69per pound, the planting medium cost$0.94per pound, and the rocks cost$0.99per pound. She also spent$8.42on plants for the garden. 5.  Chess is usually played on a game board of sixty-four squares. However, on one cruise ship, the chessboard is made up of sixty-four square that are2.7feet by 2.7 feet and people are the chess pieces! What is the area of the chessboard on the cruise ship?


6.  Christian was curious about everything, especially measurements. He liked to know how much water a glass would hold, how much air a balloon would hold, and how much pudding a bowl would hold. He even wanted to know how much batter his mother's cake pan would hold! The cake pan is fifteen inches long, seven inches wide, and1.5inches deep. What is the volume of the cake pan?
