She chose Arna Bontemps, Langston Hughes, and Zora Neal Thurston for her posters. She mounted her pictures, biographies, and poems on three sheets of poster board cut into circles with diameters of twentysix inches. How many square inches of poster board did she use for the circles?


5.  Sammy the Squirrel knew he had to collect at least 500 acorns to have enough food for the winter. Every day his mother reminded him to collect acorns, but every day Sammy procrastinated. Even when the weather began to get colder, Sammy procrastinated. Finally, Sammy's mother told him he only had fourteen hours left to collect the acorns. If it takes five minutes to find an acorn and take it to his tree, how many acorns will Sammy have at the end of the fourteen hours?
