Suicide
By Jennifer Kenny

1     It is hard to imagine that someone might want to die or take his or her own life. Suicide is doing exactly that. Ironically, many people who try to kill themselves don't really want to. They just feel helpless. SUICIDE IS NEVER THE ANSWER.

2     Suicide is often a taboo topic of discussion. Therefore, many myths have been developed. However, it is important to know the truth. The truth is that most people whose suicide attempts failed are grateful. The truth is that those who have had suicidal thoughts only had them briefly. The truth is that most people who have attempted suicide gave warning signs. The truth is that a person's judgment is impaired by drugs and alcohol.

3     Suicide is the third leading cause of death for those aged 15 to 24. Suicide is a problem that needs to be addressed. Suicide is preventable.
