What is a Bad Drug?
By Jennifer Kenny

Phil was in school. He was in first grade.

He was happy today. His teacher said there was going to be a puppet show. He liked puppet shows.

Phil watched the puppet show. One puppet was named Matt. One puppet was named Pat.

The puppet show was about good drugs and bad drugs.

     Matt and Pat were brothers.

In the puppet show, Matt had a cold. He had gone to the doctor.

The doctor gave his mother the name of medicine to take. He also had some nose drops. Matt knew these drugs were OK to take because his doctor said so and his mom said so, too.

Matt also knew he could only take the drugs when his mom helped him. He should never take them alone. He would need his mom to give him the right amount. Then the good medicine could help him feel better.

In the puppet show, Pat told the class about the bad kinds of drugs. They could hurt you. You should never take drugs from a stranger. You should never take medicine alone. Too much medicine might make you very sick.
