2 Sam went up the tree. Sam went down the tree.
3 Sam jumped. He hopped. He liked to play. Sam was out of breath.
4 Sam sat down. His dad sat down too. They were in the park.
5 "Daddy," Sam said.
6 "Yes, Sam," his dad said.
7 "Why do I breathe?" Sam asked.
8 "Well, Sam," his dad said. "You take in a special part of the air when you breathe in. This air and your food work so you can have energy. Then you can play."
