2     "Did you wash your hands?" his dad asked.
 
3     "Yes, Dad. Why do you always ask me that?" Jack asked.
 
4     "I want you to stay well," his dad said.
 
5     "Will I get sick if I don't wash my hands?" Jack asked.
 
6     "You might," his dad said.
 
7     "How?" Jack asked.
 
8     "Germs," his dad said.
 
9     "What are germs?" Jack asked.
