1 Bob was six years old. He was in first grade. Bob liked to talk. Bob liked to watch TV. Bob liked to run outside. What didn't Bob like to do? Bob didn't like to go to sleep.
2 Bob liked to stay up late. Bob ran out of his room. Bob jumped on his bed. Bob tried to read under his covers late at night. Bob asked for water. Bob's mom and dad were upset.
3 It was hard for Bob to get up in the morning. Bob was tired. He got up late.
4 When Bob came home from school he was grumpy. Why? Bob liked school. It wasn't that. He was just too tired.
5 One night Bob's mom stayed up late with him. "Bob," his mom said.
6 "Yes," Bob said.
7 "Why do you say up so late?" his mom asked.
8 "I don't want to miss anything," Bob said.
9 "You are missing something, though," his mom said.
10 "What?" Bob asked. "My TV show?"
11 "No," his mom said.
