¹     Luke was hungry.
 
²     "Mom!" Luke yelled. "I am hungry."
 
³     "OK, Luke," his mom said. "What would you like?"
 
⁴     "I want a piece of cake," Luke said.
 
⁵     "Not right now," his mom said. "That is OK once in a while. It is not OK all the time."
 
⁶     "I want a piece of candy, then," Luke said.
 
⁷     "That is not good," his mom said.
 
⁸     "How about an ice pop?" Luke asked.
 
⁹     "Sorry," his mom said. "Those things have too much sugar in them. They are OK for dessert but not as a snack each day."
