Stitches
By Jennifer Kenny

It was a nice day. Robin was playing in the front yard. Her mother called for her. She ran up the steps. She fell on a bike that was sitting there.

     "Ow!" Robin screamed.

     "What's wrong?" Robin's mother yelled.

"Oh dear!" Her mother said. "I see what's wrong." Robin had a huge cut on her chin.

     "I'm bleeding," Robin said.

"Let's clean it up," her mom said. They went inside. She put pressure on Robin's cut.

"Please put a band-aid on, Mommy," Robin said.

     "I can't," Mom said.

     "Why not?" Robin asked.
