Podiatrists

1     Carrie injured her foot at a lacrosse game. She was taken to a local hospital. Who was called in to treat her? Who created a plaster cast to fix her bone fracture? A podiatrist.
 
2     Anthony was a 40-year-old man. He was in a lot of pain. He had an ingrown toenail. Who did he see to fix the problem? He saw a podiatrist.
 
3     Scott was a diabetic, 80-year-old man. As a result of his diabetes, Scott was prone to foot ulcers. In fact, he had one now. Who did he see for treatment? He saw a podiatrist.
 
4     What exactly is a podiatrist? In short, a podiatrist is a foot doctor. More formally, a podiatrist is a doctor who can diagnose and treat problems of the human foot as well as attempt to prevent foot disorders.
