Optometrists
By Jennifer Kenny

Allison was having trouble seeing the blackboard in her classroom and the television in her living room. Her mom made an appointment with an optometrist after school.

     "Hi Mom!" Allison yelled.

"Are you ready?" her mom asked.

     "All set," Allison said.

So Allison and her mom got in the car. When they headed to the mall, Allison asked, "Why are we going this way? I thought we were going to the doctor."

     "We are," Allison's mom said.

     "At the mall?" Allison questioned.

"The optometrist works at the optical store here," her mom said.

"Is he qualified to look at my eyes?" Allison asked.

"Of course," her mom said. "I wouldn't bring you to anyone who wasn't."

"We'll see," Allison said, still sounding very skeptical.
