Taking Care of Your Hands
By Patti Hutchison

1     Shaking a nice-looking hand makes a good impression. Many people see your hands every day. Your hands can tell people a lot about how well you take care of yourself. Good grooming includes taking care of your hands.

2     Of course, it is most important that you keep your hands clean. You also need to keep your nails tidy. If your hands are dry, you should moisturize them. It is unpleasant to shake a rough, dry hand.

3     Having a healthy body will help you have healthy nails. Make sure you eat right and get enough sleep at night. Don't bite your nails. Don't pick at your cuticles. Never pull at hangnails. These are small bits of skin that come loose on the nail folds. Pulling them can cause damage and infection. Don't use your fingernails as tools to pick or pry at things.
