Ways to Keep Your Digestive System Working
By Jennifer Kenny

1     Did you ever hear the expression "you are what you eat?" Well, that phrase is very true. The food you eat gives your body energy to carry out all the body's activities. Your digestive system is, therefore, very important, so you definitely want to take care of it.

2     Of course, if you are ever sick, you want to go to the doctor to see what's happening. However, on a day-to-day basis, there are ways to take care of your digestive system.

3     First of all, try to prevent germs from getting into your food. Wash your hands before eating. Put meat, eggs, and fish in the refrigerator. Cook meat well. Don't eat raw fish or raw seafood. Germs that enter your body from food can cause you to get cramps, vomit, or have diarrhea.
