1 Sean sat in the lobby at school looking intently at his notebook
2 "Hi Sean," said Kurt, nudging his friend on the shoulder. "What are you doing?"
3 "Looking over my homework," Sean replied, standing to walk with his friend.
4 "It's the first day back at school. Why do you have homework?" Kurt asked puzzled, as they headed down the hallway.
5 "It's a vacation project," said Sean. "We had to survey twenty people to see if they made any New Year's Resolutions."
6 "What's a rez AH lu shun?" asked Kurt.
7 "It's something people make up their mind to do," said Sean. "A lot of people set goals at the beginning of a new year, decide to change bad habits, or start good ones."
8 "So, what did you find out?" Kurt asked, looking over at Sean's list.
9 "Five people decided they needed to lose weight, two were going to quit smoking, eight said they were going to watch less television, and seven said they were going to exercise more," said Kurt.
