Jake and Jackie Learn About Oral Hygiene
By Beth Beutler

"Jake," his mom called, "brush your teeth and come downstairs. We'll be leaving soon, and Jackie is already here!"

Jake's mom was taking Jake and Jackie to a symphony concert. Jackie was wearing a pretty blue dress, and Jake came downstairs in blue dress pants and a white shirt.

"Don't you both look sharp!" Jake's mom said. "Let's go!"

Jake and Jackie slid into the back seat while his mom started the car.

"I hate brushing my teeth," Jake said.

Jackie looked at him in surprise, and Jake's mom smiled.

     "Why?" Jackie asked.

     "It's just boring."

Jake's mom began to drive out of the driveway. "Well, Jake, I understand that, but if you take good care of your teeth, you'll have lots of benefits."
