Jake and Jackie Learn to Understand Others, Part 2
By Beth Beutler

"So, how was swim practice?" Aunt Bethany asked as Jake and Jackie strolled into the kitchen. Her notes from her seminar were still spread all over the table.

"We're beat," Jackie said. "Coach Bryant gave us extra drills, even though we were only five minutes late. We tried to explain everything, but she didn't want to hear it."

Aunt Bethany smiled. "I'm sorry you were late. That was my fault for explaining too much about the 'D' personality. I guess you did learn something, though."

     "What's that?"

"When you are around a 'D,' stick to the point and don't try to do a lot of explaining. They don't have much patience for that!"

Jake, Jackie, and Aunt Bethany had a good laugh over that one. They all pulled some popsicles out of the freezer and sat around the table.

Jackie asked, "So, what's the party light for?"

Aunt Bethany began. "The party light represents the 'I' personality, or one that is influential and interactive. Like this party light, they are the life of the party. They are the kind of people who walk into a room exclaiming, 'Hi, everybody!' They are full of laughter and fun, and generally, people really like them."
