Cleaning the Floor
By Cathy Pearl

1     Ben had been busy all day. He had made a project for school. Then he had eaten lunch. Then he had played with his favorite toys. At the end of the day, the floor was a mess. Ben's mom told him that he should vacuum it.

2     Ben frowned. He didn't like to vacuum. The living room was really big. It would take a long time to do the job.

3     But he knew that wouldn't matter to his mom. He had made the floor dirty. It was his job to vacuum it. He would be grounded if he didn't do it.
