Folding and Putting Away the Laundry
By Cathy Pearl

1     After washing and drying laundry, you will need to fold it and put it away. These two steps don't take a long time. They are important if you want your clothes to look nice when you pull them out of your drawer or the closet. By doing a few quick steps, you can make the job go a lot easier.

2     Most people like to fold clothes on or near a flat surface. This gives you room to lay clothes and makes it easier to fold them. It is a good idea to fold clothes when they are still warm. If you wait too long, the clothes can get wrinkled. This means you will have to iron them before you can wear them.

3     Lay the clothes on the flat surface. Then smooth out the wrinkles. If the clothes are still warm when you smooth them, the clothes should stay smooth when you fold them.
