Cleaning Your Bedroom
By Cathy Pearl

1     Your bedroom is supposed to be a quiet place where you can go to rest. Keeping it neat and tidy will make it more restful. Following a few simple tips can help keep your room clean and help you rest.

2     The first thing you need to do is grab your cleaning supplies. What you need will depend on what you need to clean. You will probably need cloths to dust with. You may need clean sheets if you are going to change the bed sheets. Most people don't keep these supplies in their bedroom. That is why it is important to grab them before you go in.

3     Pick up all the dirty clothing and throw it into the hamper. Don't worry about socks that are rolled into little balls or shirts that are inside out. You can fix these when you do the wash. Just grab all the dirty clothes that are flung all over the room and throw them into the hamper.

4     Some clothes, like jackets, hats, and gloves, may not need to be washed. Pick these up and put them away. Some clothes may need to be folded and put into drawers. Others may need to be hung in the closet. Just taking care of all the clothes that are lying around can make your room look a lot cleaner.

5     After that, throw away all the trash. This is not the time to decide whether or not you want to keep that old pair of sneakers. You are not sorting your closets, just making your room look cleaner. Take all the things that are definitely trash and throw them into the garbage.
