1     Many times, inventions are created because someone wants to make a certain job easier; other times, an invention is created just to make something nicer. Look at these two baby care products -- the disposable diaper invented by Marion Donovan and the baby carrier created by Ann Moore and Lucy Aukerman.

3     Marion Donovan, the inventor of disposable diapers, grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her father and her uncle were both inventors, and she grew up around their inventions in their factory.
