Why Frogs Are Green
By Kathleen W. Redman

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, a big white rabbit could not sleep. He could not sleep because his little bunnies wanted him to read a story.

"I don't want to read now," he said. "I am too tired. I wish you would play or sing or write so I can sleep."

Those little bunnies didn't want to play. They didn't want to sing. They didn't know what to do.

"We can write a story," Baby Bunny said.

"We can write about green frogs," Billy Bunny said.

"We can tell about why frogs are green," Bobby Bunny said.

The little rabbits found some paper. They found their pencils. They started to write.
