1 Justin and Jessie sat looking at the pile of weeds between them.
2 "We are doing a good job!" Justin said to his sister.
3 "Yes," agreed Jessie. She reached out to tug on another weed. "It won't be long until the park is pretty!"
4 A shadow fell over them. The two children looked up and froze.
5 It was Big Fred. He was a bully who lived near the park. All the kids were afraid of him.
6 Big Fred put his hands on his hips. "What are you little runts doing?"
7 Justin gulped. "We are pulling weeds out of this flowerbed."
8 Big Fred grinned. It was not a nice look on him. "So what did you do?"
