1     El 4 de noviembre de 2008 hubo una elección. Barack Obama fue elegido Presidente de los Estados Unidos. Es el primer afroamericano que se ha elegido presidente de este país.
 
2     Barack Obama nació el 4 de agosto de 1961 en Hawai. Su madre era blanca y su padre negro, nacido en África. Sus padres se conocieron mientras estudiaban en la universidad en Hawai. Años más tarde, se divorciaron, cuando su hijo tenía tres años de edad.
 
3     La madre del Sr. Obama se volvió a casar. La nueva familia vivió en Indonesia. Cuando Barack tenía diez años, regresó a Hawai y vivió allí con sus abuelos. Su familia quería que fuera a mejores escuelas.
