Parque Nacional de los Glaciares

1     El 8 de noviembre de 1889, Montana se convirtió en estado. Es el estado número 41. Al norte limita con Canadá. Al sur con Wyoming. Al oeste está Idaho y al este se encuentran Dakota del Sur y del Norte. Montana es el cuarto estado más grande.
 
2     Gran parte de Montana está cubierta por montañas. También hay muchos lagos y ríos. Montana también tiene un parque nacional, el Parque Nacional de los Glaciares.
 
3     Las montañas están cubiertas de nieve. Un glaciar es un gran trozo de hielo. Los glaciares se deslizan hacia abajo por las laderas de las montañas. Se mueven con lentitud sobre la tierra. Al moverse, cambian el aspecto del terreno. Se derriten. Pueden formar valles. Un valle es un terreno bajo. Por lo general está entre montañas. También pueden formar cascadas. Hay alrededor de 50 glaciares en el parque.
