La leggenda della palla di popcorn

1     Steven e Amber aspettavano che l'ultimo popcorn finisse di scoppiettare. Lentamente gli scoppiettii iniziarono a farsi più distanziati. Facendo attenzione la nonna mosse la pentola avanti e indietro sul fuoco vivo. Infine gli scoppietti quasi finirono. La nonna spense il fornello, tolse il coperchio dalla pentola e versò il popcorn in una grande ciotola, riempiendola fino a farla traboccare.
 
2     "Mmm, ha un profumo così buono" disse Steven, annusando l'aria vicino alla ciotola. "Ne abbiamo un po' da mangiare mentre lo infiliamo per decorare l'albero di Natale?"
 
3     "Oh, per favore, nonna" implorò Amber.
 
4     "Sì, certamente. Ne metterò un po' in delle ciotole più piccole per voi. Potete sgranocchiarli mentre infilate i chicchi uno con l'altro" rispose la nonna, allungando la mano per prendere le ciotole nella credenza.
 
5     "Adoro il popcorn" disse Amber, leccandosi i baffi. "E' una buona merenda, vero nonna?"
 
6     "Lo è di certo" rispose lei. "Il popcorn ha poche calorie, un basso livello di grassi e fornisce al vostro corpo energia grazie all'l'amido che contiene".
 
7     "Steven non ha bisogno di troppa energia" Ambra stuzzicò il fratello maggiore. "Ne ha già abbastanza".
 
8     "Anche tu!" stuzzicò Steven in risposta.
