The Natural Beauty of Arizona

1     Arizona is home to one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World." One of the things that make Arizona great is the Grand Canyon. People come from all over the world to see this wonderful site. The Grand Canyon is in the northern part of Arizona. If you have ever had the opportunity to stand on the edge and look out at this canyon that was not created by the hand of man, you will never be able to forget the wonderful sight. The Grand Canyon is the largest canyon in the United States of America.

2     Another part of Arizona that cannot be found anywhere else is the Painted Desert which can be found going from the Grand Canyon to the Petrified Forest, both of which are in Arizona. The Painted Desert is very colorful hills with no trees, grass, or bushes. All you can see is the colors of the hills. It is another of Arizona's beautiful tourist attractions.

3     Besides being home to such wonderful and incredible tourist attractions, Arizona is also called home by the antelope jackrabbit. This unique resident calls home the south central part of Arizona. The jackrabbit is the desert's version of the bunny rabbit that people will often keep as pets. The antelope jackrabbit gets its name from its ability to jump great distances. The antelope jackrabbits have ears that are eight inches long while their body grows to almost two feet long.
