Like the Sun and Moon, Part 2

1     By the end of the first day, several of the other students stopped by to talk to Reina. They were polite to Ronan, but he couldn't get away from the feeling that he was disapproved of.
 
2     That evening, when they were home, their parents asked them how they liked their new school. They were surprised at the reversal of fortunes the twins had seen. They had fully expected to hear glowing accounts of all the friends Ronan had made.
 
3     "It seems like it doesn't matter how nice I am or how hard I try to be friendly. It just doesn't work," said Ronan.
 
4     "Don't let it discourage you, dear," said Mom sympathetically.
 
5     "I won't," said Ronan. "I'll get voted most popular somehow."
 
6     Reina said nothing. She was used to Ronan's boasts. She reviewed the events of the day in her mind and wasn't sure that her brother was approaching things from the right angle.
 
7     "How was your day, Reina?" asked Dad.
 
8     "It was very interesting," said Reina. "They have a lot of emphasis on music and math. It was right up my alley. I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
