I Can Do More!
By Kathleen W. Redman

1     It was dark and windy outside. It had been raining for a long time. The animals were tired of being inside the barn.

2     "I do not like rain!" the dog barked. "I do not like to stay inside. I want to play with my ball."

3     "All you do is make noise," the ticks said. "Be quiet or we will bite you. Then you will get sick. You will not want to play then."

4     "You are not special," the wasps said. "You ticks are stuck on that dog. We can fly. We can sting."

5     "So what?" the bees buzzed. "We can fly. We can sting. And we can make honey! We are always busy."
