Nutrition Bars
By Jennifer Kenny

1     Years and years ago family meals seemed the norm. Families getting together, sharing a nutritious meal, and talking about the days' activities was just the way it was. In many ways, life has changed. Although families are encouraged to eat together, the reality is that many families are overscheduled and rushed. Do nutrition bars offer an alternative?

2     First and foremost, not eating at all or skipping a meal is not ever recommended. Of all the options in a rushed day, that's probably the worst alternative. Eating nothing is worse than eating a nutrition bar.

3     What a nutrition bar offers is definitely convenience. It offers on-the-go food. It also offers a quick energy boost at sports practice or right after school. As a result, the marketplace has been flooded with bar choices - protein bars, diet bars, energy bars, cereal bars, etc. all under that nutrition bar title.
