The Trip Home
By KATHLEEN W. REDMAN

Mr. Sutton had been in Sri Lanka for three weeks. He had been visiting his daughter. She worked in a school there. Now it was time for him to go home.

Mr. Sutton called the reservations clerk at the airport.

"Hello. This is Nimali with Eastern Airlines. How many I help you?" the friendly clerk asked.

"I need to make a reservation from Colombo to Boston, Massachusetts. That is Logan Airport."

"Yes, sir. We have several flights to Logan. What day are you planning to leave?"

"The day doesn't matter, but I would like to leave this week."

"What time of day would you like to fly, sir?"

"I would like to leave in the morning if I can."

"We have a flight to Boston Logan Airport leaving at 7:10 a.m. on Thursday. Would you like to reserve a seat on the flight?"
