Hot! Hot! Hot!
By KATHLEEN W. REDMAN

1     Josh was busy getting dressed for school. He was in a hurry. His class was going to the zoo. He didn't want to be late. He put on his pants, shirt, socks, and shoes.

2     Josh ran into the kitchen. The oven door was open. There was a pan of muffins in the oven. They smelled so good!

3     While Josh was doing all these things, his skin was busy, too. His skin was keeping everything together. It was keeping everything in his body safe. The top layer of skin was making new skin cells. The old cells were flaking off.
