Keith Interviews a Dragon
By KATHLEEN W. REDMAN

"Thank you so much, children. And now let's meet the world's biggest lizard, the Komodo dragon!"

"Good morning, Keith. Good morning, children."

"Wow! You really are big. Are you the biggest Komodo dragon ever?"

"No, Keith. The biggest Komodo dragon on record was 10 feet 3 inches long and weighed 365 pounds. I'm just average."

"Where do you live, Mr. K.?"

"Most of us live on islands in Indonesia. We prefer to live in hot, humid, grassy lowlands or in rainforests. We are cold-blooded, so the sun feels very good."

"You have quite a tail there."

"Yes, Keith, it is quite a tail. It is as long as my body. You might like to know that I have about 60 very sharp teeth. Some of them are an inch long."

"I did notice your teeth, Mr. K. But, of course, you don't eat humans. At least I hope you don't eat humans!"
