FICO Score - What is That?

¹     Morgan and her mother were making chocolate chip cookies. Then, the phone rang. Morgan's mother answered the phone. She looked so happy when she hung up that she dumped the entire bag of chocolate chips into the gooey cookie dough. Morgan's eyes grew wide with surprise.

²     "Hooray!" said Ms. Frugal. "My FICO score went up!"

³     "That's great, Mom, but what is that?" asked Morgan. "Does this mean you won a prize?"

⁴     "Not exactly," said Ms. Frugal. "But having a good FICO score can help us win with our money. I will try to explain how. Understanding money is important for you."

⁵     "OK," said Morgan, secretly wondering if this meant that she could get a raise in her allowance.
