Jake and Jackie Learn about Etiquette, Part 1
By Beth Beutler

"You have to go to a what?" Jake asked Jackie with a puzzled look on his face.

Jackie smiled. "My mother is making me go to an etiquette class," she said.

"WHAT is THAT?" Jake questioned. "How do you say it again? Ed-I-Quit?"

     "No, silly. It's ET-ah-kit."

     "What does that word mean?"

Jackie continued. "It's a standard for behavior in social situations."

"Why do you need to go to that? You never get in trouble. You behave well."

Jackie grinned. "Why, thank you, Jake, for the compliment. I very much appreciate it."

Jake gave Jackie a strange look, tilting his head to the side. "That doesn't sound like you."
