Dear Diary,
Last night I watched the best movie. It was on television. It didn't start until 10:00 p.m. and lasted until 12:15 a.m. It was long, but I didn't mind. It was such a great movie! I can't believe how it ended. I am so glad that I stayed up to watch the end of it. Mel would just love it!
2 It was hard to stay awake in my first period class today. For the last two or three weeks, I have been so tired. I don't know why.

Dear Diary,
Todd got a great new video game yesterday. It just came out, and he bought one of the first ones! It is really exciting. It was hard to play at first, but I got pretty good at it before we turned it off and went to bed. We decided to go to bed about 1:00 a.m. After all, we both had to get up for school today.
4 Mr. Danes, the school librarian, made me leave the library today. He is mean. I was just resting my head on the table. I wasn't sleeping or anything. He just doesn't like me, I guess.
