Rachel Interviews Wendy the Water Strider
By Kathleen W. Redman

1     "Good morning, boys and girls. I'm Rachel Scott, the host of Bugs Beyond Belief. Today's guest is really quite impressive. I think she's one of the most talented guests we've had on the show this year. She's an impressive looking insect, and get this - she can walk on water. That's right; she can actually walk on water. Her name is Wendy. She's a water strider."

2     "Thanks for the nice introduction, Rachel."

3     "I'm so impressed by the way you look. Can you describe yourself for our audience?"

4     "Sure. I'm a tiny bug. Most of us are less than an inch long. We've got long, skinny legs and a skinny body. At a quick glance, we can look like spiders. We also go by a lot of names like water strider, pond skater, and even magic bugs. We all come from a family that scientists call Gerridae."

5     "So is it true that you can actually walk on water?"
