1     Many Americans love Thanksgiving Day. They may eat a huge dinner of roast turkey and pumpkin pie. Some like to watch college football on TV. Others may go to a big parade. These are all traditions. Do you think that turkeys have a favorite tradition? If you were the White House turkey you would! Every year one turkey is picked to be the National Thanksgiving Turkey. This turkey is given to the president and his family. But this turkey does not end up on the dinner table. He is pardoned, or saved! President Lincoln once saved a White House turkey because his son Tad really liked it. President Kennedy .....
