1 Some people live in blue houses. Some people live in brown houses. Some people live in white houses. But only one family lives in the White House! The White House is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. It is the home and office of the President of the United States and his (or her) family. The White House has six levels! It also has 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 28 fireplaces, and 147 windows. This special home has a tennis court and a swimming pool, too. The White House even has a bowling alley and movie theater!
