1 There are two types of language: verbal and nonverbal. When you speak, you use verbal language. Verbal language is language that is spoken. Nonverbal language is language that is not spoken, but rather it is seen. There are many nonverbal ways to communicate. A few nonverbal ways to communicate include waving, smiling, and slouching.
