1 Do you like to play tag? I sure do. It can be a lot of fun to chase friends on the playground or at the park. Did you know that the air plays tag? Well, it does -- sort of! The air in our atmosphere is always moving. Warm air is always rising. Cold air is always moving in to take its place. This movement is a lot like a game of tag. It is as if the cold air is always trying to chase the warm air. But the warm air always seems to escape! This constant movement is the wind. It is known as circulation. Wind is invisible. We cannot see the air around us move, but we can see the evidence that it is moving. On a breezy day we can see the tops of trees sway. On a blustery day we can .....![]() |
