By Kathleen W. Redman

1     Who needs ears? Ears look funny. They are on the side of your head. Sometimes they stick out. Some people can wiggle them. What else are they good for? Who needs ears?

2     Rabbits need ears. Most rabbits have big ears. Some rabbit ears stick up. Some rabbit ears hang down. Rabbits use their ears to hear danger coming. That's why they have such big ears. Rabbits need ears.

3     Wolves need ears. Wolves have big, pointy ears. They hear danger with their ears, too. They use their ears to tell how they feel, too. If a wolf is afraid, he holds his ears flat. If he is angry, he holds his ears straight up. Wolves need ears.
