The Strange Plate of Cheese

1     Martin loved cheese. He was a small gray mouse. He was also a gourmet. He loved orange chunks of cheddar. They had a sharp flavor. He loved pale yellow Swiss cheese with its lovely holes. He even liked chunky blue cheese. He liked the pockets of stinky, delicious blue stuff in it. The people in his house loved cheese, too. They ate it every night. They left crumbs of cheese on a blue ceramic plate by the sink. Martin sneaked in late at night. He had a snack. The people began to notice that the crumbs were gone in the morning! One day the cheese was on .....
