2     Key deer are tiny, white-tailed deer that live in the Florida Keys. That is the only place in the world where the key deer live. Key deer like to swim from island to island. They are friendly animals and are not afraid of people. Key deer are more active at night and often eat plants along the side of the road. That puts them in danger of being hit by cars.
