1 You are at the dentist's office. You are sitting in the dentist's chair with your mouth hanging wide open. The dentist has asked you to sit still four times since you sat down. She tells you that the more you wiggle the longer the appointment will take. She has other patients to see after you. You continue to wiggle around. Once you even came close to biting her fingers when you quickly closed your mouth while she was cleaning your teeth. You are having a hard time cooperating. This means that you know that you should do the right thing and sit very still, but you are not. You are not listening to your dentist. You can tell that she is not very pleased with your behavior. After the appointment, she talks with your dad. She tells your dad that you must listen and do what she asks even though you do not like having your teeth cleaned .....![]() |
