1     Benjamin Harrison was the grandson of our ninth president. His name was William Henry Harrison. Benjamin became our twenty-third president. He was born in Ohio. He was born in 1833. He was in the Civil War. He returned to Indiana after the war. Then he became a lawyer. Harrison was very smart. He ran for governor of Indiana but did not win. He became a senator from Indiana.
