Flying the Flag

1     "Grandpa, can I help you put up the flag this morning?" asked Jennifer.
 
2     Grandpa looked at her thoughtfully. "Have you made your bed?" Jennifer nodded. "Have you helped Grandma with the breakfast dishes?" Jennifer nodded again. "Then, yes, you may help me."
 
3     Jennifer walked next to Grandpa down the dirt path toward the lake. The flag pole was near the water.
