Yuck, That's Gross!

1     Gross things can be slimy, sticky, crusty, or smelly. Most of us don't like gross things. They can be found almost anywhere. There are stinky flowers and bugs and smelly animals. Even humans have smells and behaviors that can be disgusting.
 
2     The skunk is not the only animal that gives off a foul-smelling odor. Many other animals have bad smelling odors, too. When the Tasmanian devil from Australia feels stressed, it opens its mouth in a wide yawn and gives off a nasty odor from its scent glands.
 
3     Have you ever picked up a garter snake? P.U.! The garter snake is well known for giving off a smell as part of its chemical defense.
