Endangered Is Not Extinct...Let's Keep It That Way!

1     I don't look like a panda. But I have a lot in common with one. We both need a safe place to sleep. We both need water to drink. We both need plenty of food to eat. I, however, am not endangered. I still have all of those things. Pandas, on the other hand, are losing their natural habitats very quickly. They are endangered. People are cutting down the bamboo trees that pandas eat. Pandas make their homes among these trees, too. Without a safe place to sleep and food to eat, these animals will soon become extinct.
 
2     Scientists believe that between seven and eighteen percent of animals, plants, and fungi in the United States are endangered. This means that if their habitats are not protected they will become extinct. If .....
