Construction Workers

1     Your school is a really neat place. It is a building made from many materials. It has a roof and a floor. It has classrooms and hallways. It has bathrooms, too! This great building did not magically appear one day. Someone had to build it. A construction worker, or a builder, is someone who builds things. They help our community by building homes, offices, and stores. They make the buildings in our cities and towns. When it is time to build something, builders must first lay a foundation. This must be very strong. It will have to hold a heavy building. Foundations are made of concrete. Once the foundation is dry, the workers are ready to build. Workers use many supplies when they are building. They use nails, wood, and .....
