Barbara Robinson
By Erin Horner

1     Barbara Robinson is a children's author. She has written several books. Her best known novels are perhaps The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, The Best School Year Ever, and The Best Halloween Ever.

2     Mrs. Robinson was born in 1927. She grew up in a small town in southern Ohio named Portsmouth. This small town influenced most of Barbara's writing. Her father died when she was three, so she was reared by her mother. Barbara's mother was a teacher. She taught school for 49 years. Her mother loved books. This passion was quickly passed on to Barbara. She grew up thinking that any spare moment in one's day should be spent reading.
